Abstract
Based on a model characterizing the probability that a user (group) watches specific media content, the overall energy consumption of the distribution networks and terminal devices in Dynamic Broadcast is studied. Utilizing multiple media delivery networks and content storage devices in the user terminals the total energy required for media content delivery can be reduced compared to the energy need for traditional broadcast delivery.
