  • Abstract
In this paper an implementation which features a very precise exponential voltage-current relationship is presented, based on introducing BJT base current compensation as well as collector and emitter currents equalization methods. Such a circuit can be used as a basic building block for the design of log-domain circuits and other nonlinear techniques demanding an accurate exponential behavior. Both simulations and experimental results are provided in order to confirm its practical value
