Abstract :
Least mean squared (LMS) adaptive filtering techniques have been developed to suppress narrowband jammers in a direct-sequence (DS) spread-spectrum receiver. The authors discuss the modified LMS algorithm for transversal filter structure and lattice filter structures. Bit-error-rate (BER) results obtained by computer simulations are presented, which indicate the value of these algorithms in the jammer suppression application. Curves are presented which show the convergence properties of the algorithms
