Abstract
Polarimetric decomposition methods are divided into two basic categories: Scattering-model based decomposition and eigenvector-based decomposition. The former has a clear physical meaning but may lead to negative power coefficient, while the latter is the opposite. So, a hybrid Polarimetric decomposition method based on combination of these two methods is proposed, avoiding the negative power coefficient and retaining physical meaning to some extent. The preliminary results of the experiment confirmed that the proposed method is effective for analysis of polarimetric sar images.
