  • Abstract
Each cell has a fixed base station in traditional mobile networks. But, in a virtual cellular network (VCN), the fixed base stations are replaced by mobile base station. Thus, the mobile host-mobile base station communication link is wireless and the mobile base station-mobile base station communication link is also wireless. Due to the mobility of base stations, the co-channel interference range changes with time. As result, the channel reuse pattern is highly dynamic. Also, the link failure possibility is high. In previous works, although a cold cell turns into hot cell in a minute, a cold cell lends its own channels to current other hot cells. Thus, the lending cold cell becomes hot cell and borrows the request channels from other cold cells redundantly. We solve the problem of redundant borrowing using two thresholds and statistical analysis based on historic traffic information. Thus, our scheme supports fault-tolerant channel assignment in VCN
