Abstract
Uterine electrical activity is recorded by means of abdominal electrodes and analyzed in order to obtain significant information related to contraction efficiency during labor. A monitoring device allows the real-time computing of an efficient criterion suitable for obstetrical monitoring purposes. A prototype monitor has already been tested and acts as an independent device. An industrial version could be easily implemented as a simple card in any existing device.<>
