Abstract :
With the increasing development of software outsourcing (SO) in many countries, the competition between different software outsourcing vendees is very fierce. This paper provides a nontechnical analysis of ways that competitive intelligence (CI) system can be used by SO receivers to acquire information of the competitors, market and industry in order to gain perpetual competitive advantages. A conceptual model is designed with an insightful structure of both intangible and tangible measures. Detailed measures are enunciated in 3 parts: environmental analysis, competitor analysis and SO contractees analysis. Finally, the significance and creativity of this research are concluded.
