Abstract
In multistage parallel interference cancellation (PIC), multiaccess interference from different users are mutually correlated. In this paper, an analytical model is proposed to refine the variance of the decision variable by taking the correlation into account. Price´s theorem is used to evaluate the non-linear relations involved in some of the covariances. It is shown that the derived variance is very close to that obtained by simulation and improves the accuracy of BER evaluation
