Abstract
This paper presents the design methodology for the direct torque neuro-fuzzy controller for PWM VSI-fed induction motor drives. The control method is based on a neuro-fuzzy structure. This kind of structure usually makes the system more complicated and requires automatic tuning methods. In spite of this structure the presented direct torque neuro-fuzzy controller does not require a complicated tuning procedure and is characterised by an easy manual design methodology. The design is illustrated by oscillograms with laboratory test results. The direct torque neuro-fuzzy controller guarantees very good dynamic and steady state characteristics, which are also shown on the measurement results
