Abstract
Ferrite cores are commonly attached to a cable/wire to suppress the electromagnetic noise from digital information equipment. In this paper, an equivalent circuit for the load effect due to a ferrite core installed inside a coaxial cable is considered. A method for determining the equivalent circuit parameters is presented. The validity is confirmed by measurements of the scattering transmission coefficient S 21 for commercially available ferrite cores with different dimensions
