Abstract

To maintain competitive edge in the market, more and more enterprises have been adopting ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). Now every ERP manufacturer begins to show the slogans that the BI (Business Intelligent) will bring into effect, offering their own BI products or adding the advanced tools to the ERP system. Thus, it is easy to confuse BI with ERP. What is more, one thinks BI is based on ERP when one refers to BI. Therefore, in order to get further difference and make it clearly, research on the application of BI based on the ERP system is necessary and the relationship between BI and ERP is introduced into the paper. Further more, the new state of trend which BI combined with ERP is brought forward as well as the trend of BI.
