  • Abstract
The logistic resources information (LRI) is the key component of logistic management system (LMS), which is distributed and dynamic. But the LMS established with the traditional modeling method is unable to ideally describe the LRI, and can´t support the resources information´s service in network environment. Hence, a new method of LRI modeling based on XML is put forward. Firstly, establish the logistic resources conceptual model (LRCM) by abstracting the correlative conceptions and characters of a logistic resource. Secondly, establish corresponding oriented-object UML model of LRI according to LRCM and corresponding mapping mechanism from LRCM to UML. Thirdly, establish the uniform logistic resources information´s XML schema, which is suitable for Internet sharing by researching and setting down mapping mechanism from UML datum to XML schema. At last, establish XML information model used to LRI according to the established XML Schema. The represented method of LRI modeling breaks down the traditional logistic resources modeling limitation that the majority is an integral framework in content. It is partial for the description of the logistic resource´s lack of concrete description and research about resource´s data model and resource´s processing capability. The result of experimentation proves that the established LRIM can support the datum exchanging and sharing among heterogeneous systems under the Internet environments.
