Abstract
This paper proposes a multi-objective model of the airport gate assignment problem (AGAP) and the GA-based optimization algorithms. The objectives are minimizing the total walking distance of passengers and the robust assignment (minimizing the dispersion of idle time periods). A genetic-tabu algorithm combining genetic algorithms with tabu search and meta-heuristic method is given to solve the gate assignment problem and the numerical simulations are made. The illustrative examples shows the validity of the proposed approach.
