  • Abstract
This paper examines the impact of job involvement, job satisfaction and organizational commitment on propensity to leave a job. Using a stratified random sampling procedure, survey questionnaires are administered to 116 Information Systems (IS) personnel working in multinational companies in Malaysia. Results show that IS personnel´s job involvement is positively associated with organizational commitment. Likewise, job satisfaction has a positive relationship on organizational commitment. Employees´ organizational commitment also significantly influences their propensity to leave a job. The findings of this study are discussed in the light of previous evidence. This paper concludes with a discussion of implications and directions for future studies for IS research.
