  • Abstract
    A neural network-based scheme for energy efficiency control of an induction motor drive is presented. The method is equally suitable for scalar-controlled and vector-controlled induction motor drives. Implementation of this energy saving control scheme in a vector-controlled VSI-fed induction motor drive is discussed. Experimental results presented in the paper show a significant improvement in energy saving
