  • Abstract
    The flexible fractional frequency transmission system (FFFTS) using two stage matrix converter (TSMC) as AC-DC-AC transformation equipment is proposed in this paper. The design of main circuit structure is provided, Research on two space vector modulation strategy, zero-current commutation technology, and so on. The simulation model in the case of MATLAB / Simulink environment is given. The issues such as transmission efficiency, harmonics and reactive power compensation are studied. Under abnormal Input of the Fractional Frequency, we can get normal output by modulate inverter coefficient. The analysis of simulation results show that FFFTS based on TSMC is a promising transmission type in developing hydro-electricity resources and long distance power transmission.
