Abstract :
Capacitors with high quality of frequency characteristics are necessary for reference partial discharge (PD) calibrator. For this purpose, two methods to measure the internal inductance of three-terminal capacitors have been discussed. One is by LCR meter, the other method is based on the underdamped response of a series RLC circuit. Measurement results show that the latter is better.
