Abstract :
The water wall tubes run on a hazardous environment, and the fire, gas and coil ash often attack the tube and corrosion, erosion and fatigue cause to the tube wall thickness decrease and being failure, even lead to explosion and leakage, by which the safety and cost-effective of the thermal power plant is influenced seriously. The explosion and leakage of boiler tubes in power plant is a serious problem that often leads to unscheduled and costly outages. According to the defect characteristics and running condition of boiler water wall tube, this paper introduces the development of the hot corrosion problem, research on the performance of new-type protective coating on water-wall tubes for thermal power plant, inspection method of nondestructive testing (NDT), remote inspection tool to provide inspection for complex water wall tube configurations and boiler water wall tube inspection methods automatically.
