Abstract
In view of characteristics with fuzzy and consecutive attributes in actual information systems, a reduction algorithm based on fuzzy-rough sets was put forward. The algorithm firstly sorted attributes into some sorts by the method of fuzzy sets, and confirmed the optimal sort by the criterion of the maximal change rate of threshold and using its optimization strategy. The attributes were reduced by using rough sets methods after being dispersed. The algorithm was used for acquisition of diagnostic parameters of aero-engine fault. The result is proved that the core attributes of the reductions are key attributes of aero-engine fault.
