Abstract :
Cyclic variation of ultrasonic myocardial attenuation was measured in ten normal human subjects in vivo. Results show that attenuation is not constant during the cardiac cycle. Comparison with earlier papers reveals that it is not strictly related to the wall thickness as such. Diagnostic potentials still have to be evaluated
