Abstract
Twin spool gas turbine engine is a nonlinear MIMO system of high order. Design of a tracking controller for turbine engine using classical techniques is a tedious task and practical implementation of the complex controller is also an issue. The basic philosophy of this paper is to design a sliding mode controller with model order reduction. DSP implementation of this tracking controller designed on the original system is easier due to reduced controller complexity.
