  • Abstract
According to the increasing competition, companies are moving towards cooperative relationships in an effort to make the supply chain as a whole more competitive. But, currently most logistics information system aims to optimize an enterprise´s logistics management. It leads to be unable fully obtaining the competitive advantage which the modern logistics brings. The purpose of this paper is to explore the use of soft-agent to construct SCM-wide LIS. Through analyzing characteristics of cooperative LIS and its three kinds of cooperative requirements, it is considered as a cooperative and distributed system. Two questions are distinguished in building cooperative LIS, about cooperative processing and heterogeneous functional components integrating. Then, architecture of LIS based on multi-agent system is proposed. At last, an example is used to illuminate its cooperative processing flow and indicate the MA-LIS can realize cooperative processing in SCM-wide.
