Abstract
In this paper, a full-bridge boost power converter topology has been studied for power factor control, using output high order sliding mode control. The proposed controller forces the input currents tracking the desired values which can control indirectly the output voltage while keeping power factor close to one, and ensuring minimum frequency deviation and phase difference between voltage and current. Super-Twisting Observers have been employed to estimate the input currents with the measurement of output voltage. Parametric uncertainties and load perturbations have also been considered in the controller design. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed controller and observer even under varying conditions.
