Abstract :
In this study, Li2MnSiO4 as a candidate cathode material for lithium-ion battery was synthesized by sol-gel method and the precursors were fired in a N2 atmosphere at 900 ° C for 6 h. The electrochemical prosperities of the material cathode were measured by Electrochemical Integrated Test Instrument. The material is able to deliver a charge capacity of 302mAh g-1 and the first discharge capacity of 148 mAh/g at a current density of 0.1C at room temperature. However, the discharge capacity of Li2MnSiO4 faded rapidly and stabilized at about 70mAh g-1 after twenty cycles. The structure of the obtained materials were determined by XRD and Scanning electron microscopy pictures characterized the surface morphology of the Li2MnSiO4 material.
