Abstract :
Partial discharge pulse is the basic information for power transformer insulation fault diagnosis, but it will be distorted during the propagating course in the transformer winding. In this paper, the transfer characteristic of partial discharge pulse propagation along its winding is investigated based on vector fitting. The frequency response curve of the winding has been tested. Vector Fitting using rational function consisting of real poles as well as complex conjugate poles and zeros to fitting the frequency response based on tested data. Then the transfer function of the winding is obtained by this way. It can remove the aberration, which caused by the partial discharge pulse propagation in transformer winding. The method is simple and effective. Its efficiency is verified by typical partial discharge measuring.
