In this paper, the authors combine data envelopment analysis (DEA) with a special method of index number theory to obtain a DEA-based procedure for finding sub-optimal organizational restructuring that is robust relative to the specific choice of DEA inputs and outputs. The aim is to obtain a means for managerial decision making support that is objective and does not depend on specific inputs/outputs
