Abstract :
A high-efficiency power amplifier using novel harmonic control circuit is realised with lateral depletion MOSFET. The proposed harmonic control circuit that is used to design input/output matching network has short impedance for second- and third-harmonics, and is superior to the class-F or inverse class-F harmonic control circuit. It is also shown that the maximum power-added efficiency of the proposed power amplifier is 87.1% at 1.71 GHz band.
