Abstract
This paper describes a constant current power branching approach for undersea cable systems. Our goal was to develop a power branching technique that would enable the use of existing constant-current cables and reduce the cost of deploying real-time oceanographic and scientific data collection systems. Compact size, power density, efficiency, and reliability are all key requirements for success. Our solution addresses all of these areas
