Abstract :
A light weight low profile foam based cavity-backed slot antenna is proposed for UHF/VHF applications. The proposed antenna structure is successfully optimized and constructed. Comparing with conventional design, the proposed structure may provide a much lighter and cheaper solution, making it attractive for digital television broadcasting, airborne and other UHF/VHF wireless applications to meet challenging requirements.
