Abstract :
Behavior of B-H loops of laminated steel was investigated using a 1-dimensional simulation along the thickness direction, and the results were compared with measured data. When B-H loops were measured at low frequencies, the ratio of the magnetic field´s amplitude and the magnetic flux density´s amplitude was independent of the frequency. Above a certain frequency, however, frequency dependency was observed. The mechanism can be explained by the skin effect of magnetism and the nonlinear B-H relationship.
