Abstract :
In this paper, a new synthesis technique using successive circuit conversions is proposed. By inserting ideal admittance inverters and ideal transformers, the conventional asymmetrical even-order Chebyshev filter can be converted to new symmetrical filter topology; also, the source and load resistances are equal. For bandpass filter (BPF), admittance inverters can be easily realized with series lambdag/4 transmission line, and the resonances are realized with shunt lambdag/2 open-circuited stubs. And an example is presented to illustrate the design procedure.
