Abstract :
With the advancement in computer technology, teaching and learning of Al-Quran can be entertaining, interesting, and engaging. The objective of this research is to design and develop an interactive multimedia application (i-IQRA´) to teach children to recite Al-Quran effectively and efficiently. The Principles of Persuasive Technology and Principles of Multimedia Design are adapted during the design and development of this interactive multimedia application. I-IQRA´ consists of three different modules to support the learning process which are: (1) Introduction to Arabic Characters; (2) Reading Arabic Characters, and (3) Quiz. This research provides an alternative way to persuade children to learn Arabic characters using the Iqra´ Technique. With this Interactive Multimedia Application, children can also improve their ability at Al-Quran recitals.
