Abstract
This work presents studies concerning reactive support and voltage control in a system under open access. The paper analyses the impact of network users on the system voltage profile and proposes a methodology for allocating the reactive power support. The studies are carried out using an optimal power dispatch (OPD) model that discriminates the system users based on the superposition principle (SP), associating to each one of them a set of power balance equations. Results are presented for the IEEE 30 bus system and an equivalent of the Brazilian Southern Region system.
