Abstract :
An exact determination of the electric and magnetic fields in the vicinity of overhead transmission lines can be basically obtained either by measurement or calculation. In both cases, detailed information about the operating data (for example, the arrangement of the phase conductors) is required. In this paper a method is introduced which allows the estimation of the relevant data by combining the results of field measurements with an intelligent knowledge based system (IKBS), using the principle of case-based reasoning (CBR)
