Abstract :
A novel ML algorithm for the CFO estimation in the MIMO-OFDM systems with the PAPR reduction precoder is developed. By applying the property of the precoding matrix, a cost function similar to the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm is developed for the CFO estimation. With the precoding scheme in the MIMO-OFDM system, we can achieve the advantage in the PAPR reduction of OFDM signals and perform a simple CFO estimation concurrently. Our simulation results show that the MSE performance of the MIMO-OFDM will be improved with the increase in the roll-off factor of the precoder in both the AWGN and multipath fading channel environments.
