Abstract
To reduce the total traffic in buildings, we have considered introducing new complex transportation systems, consisting of elevators and other devices. For this study we have collected traffic data of movements of people and goods in buildings and developed new simulation tools to evaluate possible system structures. We also report on results on applying autonomous decentralized control methods to such systems
