Abstract
A scheme for conflict resolution in modular control is extended to allow for flexible priorities among control objectives. In the original scheme, static priorities are assigned to respective modular supervisors, and conflicts among control subtasks are resolved through the suspension of low-priority supervisors. In the extended approach, priorities are assigned dynamically allowing the relative importance accorded to subtasks to change as the system evolves. The work is motivated by feature interaction in telecommunications systems
