Abstract :
In this paper, the part microwave coagulation therapy (PMCT) probe is used for calibration and measurement. Two reference liquids are measured and the reflection coefficients are recorded and calculated, the rational functional model (RFM) coefficients for PMCT probe are then calculated and compared in two cases of different reference liquids. We may note that, within a wide frequency range, saying, 0.45-14 GHz, the measured results recorded at 104 frequency points indicate very little change of RFM coefficients for cases of different reference liquids, and different temperature levels, the variability of the rational function model of the PMCT probe was almost below 10%. In this way, the PMCT probe can be used for the further measurement of some biological tissues with certain reliability and the RFM model can be used to extract the permittivity of our interest.
