Abstract :
Since 1977 is has been mandatory that partial electrical/electronic products comply with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) conformance prior to being imported for sales in Taiwan´s domestic market. As we know, all power driven devices are associated with EMC interference to say the least, the broad range and numerous varieties of commodities make it difficult to enumerate each item. Therefore, the primary concern of launching the EMC management system is the amount of testing. In order to prevent the discrimination of test results from different test quality performed at the different test sites, the “Assessment and Management of EMC Designated Laboratories” came into being. Assessment guidelines fall into two categories: ISO Guide 25 is applied to a quality system, and technical portion is referred to IEC associated international standards and the technical regulations published by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI). The author hope that this article can provide up-to-date statistics and related comment on EMC implementation, and can facilitate lucidity of messages and promote the establishment of proper communication channels
