Abstract :
This paper investigates the suitability of UHF passive RFID for use in electronic vehicle identification (EVI) scenarios. A simulation scheme is developed that models each of the key elements within an EVI environment. Furthermore, the optimal installation angle of readers is determined, and a coverage map of a typical reader installation developed.
