Abstract
The effects of ion bombardment on the structure, composition and properties of organic solids are generally reviewed. Special attention is paid to polymers and polymer films. Radiation-induced modification of physical properties such as mechanical properties, rheological properties, optical and electrical properties are discussed. Modification of a polymer surface property such as wettability is considered. The effects of low energy ion bombardment of polymers and related materials are concisely mentioned
