Abstract :
A novel variation of the conventional dipole radiator is proposed and named as the ends-fed dipole radiator (EFDR). By properly choosing theirs parameters, it is possible to create the versions of the antenna that have suitable range of input resistance and figure-eight radiation patterns. The proposed antenna with relatively low profile and high polarization purity is very suitable candidate for mobile communication systems with single linear, dual linear or circular polarization.
