Abstract :
This paper discusses the results of partial discharge measurements in medium voltage power cables using oscillating test voltages. In particular, the sensitivity and the reproducibility of this new method for onsite testing are discussed. Based on laboratory and onsite tests the usefulness of this PD measuring technique for practical applications is presented
