  • Abstract
A procedure is described for the fabrication of a flexible, perforated electrode array for recording neuroelectric signals from the brain slice, with possible application to other preparations. The array is a thin diaphragm of two layers of patterned polyimide with gold conductors sandwiched in between. The procedure includes standard photolithography, etching and metal deposition, as well as micromachining of a silicon platform to support the diaphragm and connectors to external electronics.<>
