Abstract
Presents a new telecommunication system with which to realize a new type of communication between two locations. Our proposed system uses our newly developed CTerm (Communication Terminal). The CTerm is set up at a certain location and has a CCD camera and a laser pointer that can be rotated by a user at another location. The simple construction of the CTerm contributes to its good cost performance. A skilled operator makes his/her intentions clear and concrete to an unskilled worker by directing the laser pointer to a particular spot, and this makes detailed oral descriptions unnecessary. Our system allows easy communication between two locations without any misunderstandings
