Abstract
Here we present a droplet array platform named "flip-drop" that incorporates novel surface energy traps (SETs) to generate an array of droplets of combinatorial mixtures for bioanalytical screening. This droplet array platform is exemplified using a quantum-dot fluorescence resonance energy transfer (QD-FRET) sensing assay for detection of the RSF1 cancer biomarker.
