The analysis of push technology based on iphone operating system

Push technology is a new technology based on Server/Client Mechanism to transmit useful notifications initiatively to the Client-side by Server. Via push technology, users could receive notifications on the devices whenever and wherever possible, rather than obtain notifications initiatively, which greatly increases the efficiency of communication. Focused on Apple Push Notification service (APNs for short), this article analyzes the core technology of Push technology including the path of push, the feedback service and the notification format of pushing notifications by APNs, and introduces the relevant technologies about other push services briefly. Finally, we analyze the advantages of push technology with an example, such as improving the users´ stickiness, and improving the activeness of correspond appliances, etc.
