Abstract :
Color is one of the most important information of the object. Tri-stimulus value of CFIE-XYZ and RGB value obtained by CCD camera or scanner, however, are dependent on characteristics of imaging devices and illuminant conditions. From the principal component analysis of gastric mucous membrane and skin color, we showed that those reflectance spectra can be estimated from the R, G, B signals of electronic endoscopes and HDTV camera respectively. On the other hand we also showed this the five band CCD camera with 3120 H×2160 V pixels and 12 bits quantization levels for recording the reflection spectrum of the paintings and antifacts. Those estimated reflection spectra were applied to improve color reproduction and image processing. In this paper, our recent researches on the analysis and estimation of spectral reflectance and some applications are introduced and presented
