Abstract :
A novel single-phase hybrid asymmetric 6-level inverter is researched in this paper. In the inverter a 3-level Half-bridge unit and a Half-bridge unit are cascaded to form an inverter phase leg. The EPWM control method is proposed considering for the construction of the inverter, and the circuit for filtering harmonic waves is connected at the output of the load. In the end this inverter is simulated and experimented through the Matlab and DSP hardware platform. There is ideal waveform to output which shows the feasibility of the construction.
