Abstract :
On?? behalf of the participants of the DD´2005 and of all his colleagues working in the diffraction theory we wish him good health and continued productivity. WATe are all looking forward to hinm continuing inspiring us by his new ideas and remaining the leader of St. Petersburg diffraction. A brief biography of V.M. Babich is given highlighting his professional achievements.
